The Role
As an Asset Manager at Transform Energy Asset Management, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of solar PV systems, battery energy storage systems, and other distributed energy resources across California. The ideal candidate brings analytical strength, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
You will play a critical role in ensuring these assets operate at peak technical and financial performance, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, service providers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day performance of solar PV, battery energy storage, and other energy assets.
- Monitor and analyze system performance; complete detailed diagnostics and root-cause analysis for underperforming assets.
- Evaluate electric utility bills, interval data, and demand/load profiles to assess system savings and financial performance.
- Prepare, present, and explain high-quality performance reports, financial analyses, and operational summaries to clients.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external O&M service providers, including scheduling and confirming completion of preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and site work.
- Conduct site visits and field assessments to evaluate equipment conditions, verify performance, and gather operational data.
- Manage participation of energy assets in revenue programs (e.g., REC monetization, grid services programs, capacity bidding).
- Track and communicate the status of all systems to internal leadership and clients; maintain strong project schedules and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects, new initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in solar, energy storage, energy management, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
- Strong analytical capabilities and ability to complete complex data analysis, including root-cause analysis for system underperformance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to lead client meetings and present technical findings clearly.
- Highly organized with strong project coordination, scheduling, and documentation abilities.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating across teams.
- Willingness to travel for periodic site visits, client meetings, and team activities.
