We are hiring Part-Time CDL Class A Drivers to support mail transportation operation in Shreveport, Louisiana. This is a great opportunity for experienced drivers looking for consistent work with a respected transportation company. Positions are temp-to-perm, and travel drivers are welcome while permanent positions are being filled.

• Pay: $27.89/hour
  
• Health & Welfare: Additional $5.55/hour for the first 40 hours worked each week
  
• Employment Type: Part-Time, Temp-to-Perm
  
• Drivers Needed: 3
  
• Schedule: Sunday through Saturday (drivers typically work 5–6 days per week)
  
• Dispatch Times: Between 4:00 PM and 2:00 AM depending on route
  
• Average Shift: 8–10 hours
  
• Layovers: None – Home Daily
  
  
  Job Responsibilities
  
  
  
  
  • Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer transporting between facilities.
    
  • Complete scheduled, time-sensitive delivery routes.
    
  • Roll mail carts and mail containers on and off trailers.
    
  • Secure mail carts using straps and other required equipment.
    
  • Back into loading docks at postal facilities.
    
  • Operate liftgates when required.
    
  • Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records.
    
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
    
  • Follow all DOT safety procedures.
    
    
    Qualifications
    
    
    
    
    • Valid Class A CDL
      
    • Minimum 9 months of recent CDL driving experience
      
    • Ability to perform touch freight, including moving rolling mail carts
      
    • Comfortable with multi-stop routes and backing into docks
      
    • Strong attention to detail and reliability for time-sensitive deliveries
      
    • Must successfully pass a background check
      
    • No felony convictions
      
    • Ability to meet Ryder hiring standards, including DOT drug screening and background requirements
