The Role
As Business Development Lead, you will champion the development of premium partnerships and rights acquisitions that expand the organisation’s footprint across the North American market. Working closely with senior leaders and global colleagues, you will combine market insight, stakeholder engagement, and strategic thinking to unlock new commercial opportunities.
This role may require occasional international travel and flexibility during peak sporting periods.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and manage strong relationships with rights holders, partners, and key stakeholders across the North American sports landscape.
- Research and analyse market trends, fan demographics, and sponsorship activity to identify opportunities across multiple sports.
- Lead the development and delivery of tailored proposals and bids, coordinating inputs across the organisation to maximise success.
- Drive pipeline development, ensuring a robust, well-qualified portfolio of opportunities that support long-term growth targets.
- Support account growth and contract renewals to strengthen long-term partnerships and develop incremental value.
- Provide commercial insight and recommendations to senior leadership to influence wider business development strategy.
- Represent the organisation at industry events and key sporting fixtures, expanding networks and identifying emerging opportunities.
- Ensure governance and compliance in all commercial activity, upholding internal standards and industry best practice.
- Lead post-bid evaluations, embedding learnings to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of future submissions.
