Overview:
Transducers Direct is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Production Technician to carry out
various tasks in our busy warehouse. The ideal candidate will have some mechanical and electrical
experience and/or aptitude and excellent communication skills. Also, the ideal candidate is accepting of training, inquisitive, and a quick learner. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while looking to take ownership in helping the company succeed is critical. Being self-motivated and an independent worker is a must.
The successful applicant will be responsible for operating production equipment, finishing products and reporting any issues with equipment directly to production supervisors. An understanding of pressure transducers and/ or other sensing devices would be a plus. Ability to follow written work instructions is required and the ability to understand drawings/schematics would be a plus. All qualified, responsible applicants are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities:
- Produce finished goods to customer specifications
- Follow both written and verbal work instructions to accomplish assigned tasks
- Functionality testing of finished goods
- Carry out basic and technical quality checks·
- Calibrate and configure sensing products by work instructions
- Packaging and labeling of finished products
- Assist in shipping & receiving
- Light duty and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Test wireless products via work instruction
- Capable of learning the product lines and “Smart” part numbering system
- Other related duties
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem solving/troubleshooting skills
- Computer Literacy
- Familiar with Electrical/ Electronics Concepts (Preferred)
- Previous Hand soldering/ Rework of Electronic Assemblies (Preferred)
- Ability to use, or learn to use, electrical measuring devices (Multi-meters, ThermoCouple, Etc.)
