Overview
Transdev is hiring Autonomous Vehicle Testers for our Autonomous Vehicle team in our San Antonio Depot!
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $21, with no prior experience required, paid training and a comprehensive benefits package!
What You’ll Do
- Operate and monitor autonomous vehicles for 6-8 hours per shift, 5 days a week
- Support safe AV performance by observing, documenting and reporting vehicle behavior
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and the public
- Maintain awareness of real-time vehicle and system conditions
- Provide feedback on system performance and assist with testing protocols
- Ensure compliance with safety, confidentiality and operational procedures
- Interact professionally with riders and educate the public about autonomous technology
- Travel up to 10% as needed for training or support
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience driving on public roads
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s License
- Able to type 40 WPM and use smartphones, tablets, and laptops
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Comfortable working independently and in small teams
- Able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends and overnights
- Excellent communication, multitasking and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 45 lbs
- Work includes both indoor and outdoor environments, in various weather conditions
