The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in directing the passenger transit operations. This position is based in Phoenix, AZ. The Assistant General Manager is responsiblefortheday-to-dayoperationsofthecontract,facility,andsafetyofpersonnelandpassengers,customer service, and managing the financials.

Qualifications:
HighSchoolDiplomaorGEDrequired
Bachelor’sdegreeorequivalentinBusinessAdministration,Logistics,Transportationorrelatedfield preferred.
5 7yearsofsupervisoryormanagement-levelexperienceinthepassengertransportationindustry
Knowledgeofrelevantfederalandstateemploymentlaws
Thoroughknowledgeoflaws,ordinances,andregulationsunderlyingthetransitoperation
Thoroughknowledgeofthemethodsofoperationofthetransitsystem’sstaffandoperationaldepartments
Abilitytodealwithstateandlocalgovernment
Abilitytomanagecostcontrolandfinancial/budgetexperience,handlingmultiplelocations
WorkingknowledgeandproficiencywithMicrosoftWord,Excel,andPowerPointprograms
Strongwrittenandoralcommunicationskills;excellentpresentationskills;abilitytoinfluencepeopleatall levels of the organization
Abilitytoorganizeandperformworkefficiently;strongattentiontodetails
AbilitytonavigateLaborRelationsissuesandworkeffectivelywithunionpartners,includinglabor grievances and negotiations.
Mustbeabletoworkshiftsorflexibleworkschedulesasneeded.
