The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in directing the passenger transit operations. This position is based in Phoenix, AZ. The Assistant General Manager is responsiblefortheday-to-dayoperationsofthecontract,facility,andsafetyofpersonnelandpassengers,customer service, and managing the financials.

Transdevisproudtooffer:

  • Competitivecompensationpackageofminimum$96,000–maximum$120,000

  • Directsdailyoperationsmanagement.

  • Providesstrategicplanninganddirectiontotheoperationsstaff.

  • Managescontractcompliance.

  • Hassharedresponsibilityforscheduling,performanceevaluation,andstaffingresponsibilitiesforthe facility's management staff.

  • Otherdutiesasrequired.

  • Travelrequirementoutsideofimmediatearea: <10%

Qualifications:

  • HighSchoolDiplomaorGEDrequired

  • Bachelor’sdegreeorequivalentinBusinessAdministration,Logistics,Transportationorrelatedfield preferred.

  • 5 7yearsofsupervisoryormanagement-levelexperienceinthepassengertransportationindustry

  • Knowledgeofrelevantfederalandstateemploymentlaws

  • Thoroughknowledgeoflaws,ordinances,andregulationsunderlyingthetransitoperation

  • Thoroughknowledgeofthemethodsofoperationofthetransitsystem’sstaffandoperationaldepartments

  • Abilitytodealwithstateandlocalgovernment

  • Abilitytomanagecostcontrolandfinancial/budgetexperience,handlingmultiplelocations

  • WorkingknowledgeandproficiencywithMicrosoftWord,Excel,andPowerPointprograms

  • Strongwrittenandoralcommunicationskills;excellentpresentationskills;abilitytoinfluencepeopleatall levels of the organization

  • Abilitytoorganizeandperformworkefficiently;strongattentiontodetails

  • AbilitytonavigateLaborRelationsissuesandworkeffectivelywithunionpartners,includinglabor grievances and negotiations.

  • Mustbeabletoworkshiftsorflexibleworkschedulesasneeded.

  • SubjecttoaDOTdrugtestingandphysicalifapplicable.DOTRegulation49CFRPart40doesnot authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
