This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command.
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 12 grade level in the Federal service:

Qualifications:
You may qualify at the GS-GS-13 if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 12 grade level in the Federal service:
- Providing analytic and technical expertise, assistance and oversight for implementation, integration and ongoing maintenance and improvement of logistics capabilities.
- Analyzing and resolving complex transportation issues and process improvements that enhance the program area.
- Evaluating requirements and issues that are important to providing logistics information critical to force projection, sustainment, redeployment, and end-to-end visibility of the distribution pipeline.
- Assisting management with all aspects with the mobility joint force provider for air refueling, air-lift and sea-lift.

Responsibilities:
As a TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST at the GS-2101-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:- Coordinates capacity understanding for all modes, nodes, and personnel (air, land, sea, enablers).
- Serving as a project leader to accomplish particularly complex, unique, sensitive, and/or long-term studies concerning major operations, distribution, or information systems programs.
- As transportation and logistics expert, analyzes and resolves complex and/or sensitive transportation and logistics management problems and the implementation of new developments and technology to the assigned customer area.
- Developing and presenting briefings to represents USTRANSCOM on inter-agency boards, committees, and at meetings involving transportation to formulate and coordinate operations, programs, policy and procedures.
- Developing logistics information systems capabilities and anticipate/identify logistics issues associated with logistics planning and transportation requirements.
