Duties
- Greet customers, understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Prepare detailed repair orders using Mitchell1 software
- Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and timelines
- Offer additional services such as oil changes or mechanical repairs to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, vehicle history, and service recommendations
- Coordinate with parts departments to ensure timely availability of necessary components
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, manage client invoices with professionalism and accuracy
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto service management or as a Service Writer within a dealership or repair shop environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, diesel engines, shocks & struts
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures is highly desirable
- Ability to offer services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; some driving may be required for test drives or vehicle inspections
