AWS Application Architect

Position: AWS Application Architect 

Location - Chicago, IL

Long Term Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect cloud-native applications with a deep understanding of AWS services.
• Collaborate with enterprise applications teams to ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture standards and strategic guidance.
• Implement observability patterns, SRE principles, and middleware strategies.
• Implement and maintain relentless automation for end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and observability leveraging tools (Harness, Dynatrace, AWS & Azure Ecosystem) to ensure e-icient software delivery and application reliability.
• Support application modernization including re-architecting on-prem applications for cloud deployment.

Required Skills:

• 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a strong background in managing complex enterprise applications and infrastructure
• Strong experience in application architecture and cloud architecture (especially AWS).
• Deep knowledge of microservices, event-driven systems, and application design patterns.
• Familiarity with AWS architecture, including selecting optimal services for specific use cases.
• Experience with Harness, IDP, and feature flag systems.
• DevOps and CI/CD: Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and observability tools (Harness, Dynatrace)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect).
