Part Time / Full-Time Childcare Leader

Responsibilities

• Support age-appropriate activities that support early childhood education, toddler care, infant care, and preschool development.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children by following all health, safety, and emergency protocols, including first aid procedures.
• Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage respectful interactions and social skills among children.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and share developmental milestones.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity while adhering to licensing standards.
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive caregiving.

Requirements

• Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED required; an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• 1 year experience in a childcare or early childhood education setting is required.
• Certifications:
• CPR and First Aid certified (or obtain certification within 90 days of hire).
• Background Check / Fingerprinted
• Growing Futures Trainings
• Getting Started (Within 90 days of hire)
• ND Safe Sleep
• Mandated Reporter (Within 90 days of hire)

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work flexibly across different classrooms and with different age groups.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and follow the direction of Lead Teachers and other staff.
• Patient, caring, and able to manage children’s needs in a calm and supportive manner.
• Ability to adapt to changing classroom environments and respond to the needs of children and staff.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
