What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Warehouse Manager position at Transamerican Equipment Company?
Transamerican Equipment Company LLC is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team. This individual will assist the On-site Warehouse Manager in day-to-day operations of our Jacksonville, AL facility or as directed by the Company Operations Manager.

· Assists in overseeing daily warehouse operations and staff, including inventory, order fulfillment, and shipping & receiving activities to ensure productivity
· Proper use of warehouse equipment (various forklifts, pallet jacks, loading docks, racking, etc.)
· Unloading and receiving equipment, materials, etc.
· Request freight quotes and schedule shipments of outgoing freight with 3rd parties
· Load various types of trailers (van, flatbed, hot shots, etc.) with outgoing freight
· Maintain and update inventory, sales information, invoices, etc., for outgoing freight shipments
· Assist warehouse employees with inventory issues, customer communications, small package shipments, etc.
· Use various hand and power tools, lawn mower, weed eater, tractor/bush hog, UTV
· Maintain general facility property and warehouse housekeeping
· Assist in security of facility property to include operating and maintaining security cameras
· Construction of oversize pallets, crates, etc., for freight shipments as needed
· Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
· Communicate with 3rd parties for various reasons (onsite customers, inspections, supplies, specific shipping requirements, etc.)
· Utilize search engines (Google, etc.) to conduct online searches for information regarding equipment, delivery locations, etc.
· Assist in performing nonroutine tasks as needed
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Ability to change tasks quickly and effectively as directed by the Warehouse or Operations Manager
· Computer skills (Microsoft 365 to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Forklift operation experience a plus or the ability to learn
· May require working outside in all types of weather
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
