GOJET AIRLINES - MANAGER MAINTENANCE CONTROL
LOCATION - ST. LOUIS, MO
The Manager, Maintenance Control has oversight of the Maintenance Control Supervisors, Short Term Planners, and Roving Aviation Maintenance Technicians to ensure the efficient use of staffing through establishing proper work assignments, efficient pre-shift preparation, and ensuring that each individual is engaged in assisting others after completion of their assigned tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Airframe and Powerplant License
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of Technical Operations Policies and Procedures.
- Must have the ability to prioritize and coordinate with associated departments
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on critical thinking and business process management.
- Must be flexible with respect to work schedule and willing to assist and support others within the company when needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uphold the company's Professional Standards.
- The Manager, Maintenance Control will provide management oversight and leadership of the daily aircraft maintenance operation, ensuring efficient coordination, communication, and oversight.
- Will act in conjunction with the Maintenance Managers (line and base), Maintenance Control Supervisors, and the Fleet Support Coordinator to ensure a high level of safety, production, and quality is maintained.
- Has the authority to remove any company aircraft from operational service for reasons of safety.
- Develop and implement department policies and procedures as necessary to maintain efficiency and meet regulatory requirements.
- Administer or attend conference calls.
Position Expectations:
- Is expected to exhibit a high degree of professionalism with customers and all work groups, both internally and externally.
- Ensure Maintenance Control Supervisors comply with the OJT technical training process, including all required documentation.
- Ensure a complete turnover of events that occurred is being accomplished by the Maintenance Control Supervisor.
- Ensure that duty time limitations per 121.337, or company-imposed limitations, are not exceeded.
- Ensure that all personnel adhere to established safety standards and best practices. Help promote a positive and safe culture.
- Ensure compliance with the timekeeping process.
- Ensure payroll is submitted correctly and on time.
- Assist in redefining the position towards a more direct operational role with reduced administrative functions.
Administrative Requirements:
- Ensure on-call maintenance provider requirements are met by reviewing flight schedules and coordinating with the QA auditors.
- Ensure that all required meetings are administered or attended.
- Ensure manpower scheduling is adequate for the current operational demand for Maintenance Control. Justify additional headcount to meet operational needs.
- Operational oversight for on-time departures of all maintenance events scheduled and unscheduled.
- In coordination with the Maintenance Control Supervisors, responsible for the completion of annual performance reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
