This position supports local hauling operations within a 150-mile radius of Mulberry, Florida, transporting aggregate and related materials for our Central Florida customers.
This is a home-daily position with consistent year-round work. We are looking for dependable, safety-oriented drivers who take pride in their performance and represent Trans-Phos with professionalism on and off the road.

Job Requirements:
Professional CDL Class A Truck Driver to safely operate company-owned tractor-trailer combinations including end dumps, bottom hoppers, and pneumatic tankers. This position supports local hauling operations within a 150-mile radius of Mulberry, Florida, transporting aggregate and related materials for our Central Florida customers.
This is a home-daily position with consistent year-round work. We are looking for dependable, safety-oriented drivers who take pride in their performance and represent Trans-Phos with professionalism on and off the road.
Primary Job Duties:
- Hook and unhook trailers and use cranking lever to raise/lower landing gear.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to identify defects and ensure safe operation; complete and submit Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) using the truck telematic system. (Motive)
- Verify shipping papers for origin, destination, and cargo details. Follow directions of dispatchers, field supervisors, and loader operators for pickup and delivery locations.
- Operate the tractor trailer in compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.
- Navigate safely in challenging environments such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or tight loading/unloading zones.
- Ensure all necessary shipping documents are on board and accompany shipments as required to be turned in on a daily basis.
- Maintain accurate and timely records including drivers’ timecards, roadside inspections, mileage logs, and other regulatory paperwork.
- Comply with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Report all vehicle accidents, incidents, injuries, or spills immediately.
- Report highway hazards or delays due to weather, traffic, or mechanical issues.
- Communicate any irregularities at pickup or delivery promptly.
- Understand and use truck telematics systems to sign in/out of electronic timecards and report vehicle defects (Trans-Phos currently uses Motive telematics).
Accountabilities:
- Safe and legal operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
- Safe and timely transportation of customer cargo from origin to destination.
- Proper loading and unloading of customer cargo.
- Accurate completion of all necessary paperwork related to truck operations and cargo movements.
- Professional representation of Trans-Phos through responsible driving and appearance.
- Valid Florida CDL – Class A
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience (preferred)
- Must be at least 21 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Clean MVR and safety record; subject to FMCSA pre-employment background and drug screening.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (required for safety regulations and legal compliance).
- Familiarity with aggregate hauling, dump trailers, or pneumatic tankers is a plus.
- Working knowledge of DOT Hours of Service, vehicle safety, and basic maintenance procedures.
- Must pass DOT physical and meet all FMCSA medical qualifications.
