Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute the organization’s people, health, and safety strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Safety Manager and HR Business Partner through clear expectations, goal setting, and performance and development planning.
- Establish governance for HR and safety policies, programs, and processes to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
- Provide enterprise oversight of core HR and safety programs, including:
- Compensation, benefits, and leave administration
- Employee relations (discipline, investigations, dispute resolution)
- Performance management and talent development
- Recognition and employee engagement
- Occupational health and safety
- Training and development
- Lead Total Rewards strategy, including benefits administration, vendor partnerships, annual renewals, plan design, cost management, and employee communications.
- Own workforce and talent planning, succession planning, and leadership pipeline development to ensure bench strength for critical roles.
- Anticipate staffing needs and lead recruiting and selection strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Leverage HRIS and talent systems to track, analyze, and report workforce metrics that inform leadership decisions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and safety laws and maintain audit-ready practices.
- Stay current on HR and safety trends, regulatory changes, and enabling technologies, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Develop and manage the HR and Safety budget, aligning resources to priorities.
- Oversee the learning management system (LMS), training compliance, and development of role-based learning pathways.
- Collaborate with HR contacts at global locations to align core people practices while supporting local requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive human resources management experience.
- Advanced knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/HRIS systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
