Job Overview
We are a growing aviation company looking to fill a position within the Accounting Department. The Accounting Technician will assist the Director of Accounting in a wide variety of technical accounting and payroll related tasks to assist the accounting team. Duties will include but are not limited to:
· Reconcile general ledger accounts
· Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to GAAP
· Assist with coding and entering credit card statement and ensure all receipts are appropriately accounted for
· Assist with filing sales/use tax and IFTA returns
· Assist with gathering and printing duty reports, calculating, and entering pay for a wide variety of job classifications and pay rates for multi-state payroll
· Reconcile payroll reports with QuickBooks payroll calculation, ensuring accuracy and proper coding
· Assist with new hire onboarding and offboarding processes which will include but not limited to assigning/collecting company credit cards as needed, processing new hire/termination paperwork, data entry into various platforms
· Coordinate onboarding process and ensure proper documentation is provided and completed
· Assist Accounting team with filing as necessary
· Answer phone calls and route accordingly
· Assist Accounting team and other departments as directed by supervisor
Qualifications for this position:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
· Previous payroll experience
· Strong understanding of accounting principles
· High attention to detail
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be organized in high-volume work environment
· Proficient with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft programs
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work independently and be self-motivated while maintaining a positive attitude
· Strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure

Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour
