Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Caregiver / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and provide exceptional care to our residents. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other memory impairments through personalized engagement and behavior management strategies
- Support residents in assisted living or long-term care environments by ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans and participate in social work or community activities that promote resident engagement
Requirements
- Team Player and Coachable
- Valid CNA certification or equivalent credential with current licensing where applicable
- Prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and behavior management techniques
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring direct support
- Proficiency in vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic first aid skills
- Experience operating EMR systems for documentation purposes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license for driving responsibilities if required for home visits or community outings
- Alternate Weekends
- Open to working some Overnight shifts
