What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Operations Manager position at Tranquil Resorts?
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Golf Course Maintenance worker to maintain and improve the golf course’s appearance and playability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine golf course maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs to maintain appropriate turf height and density
- Operate mowers, tractors, and other turf equipment to maintain the golf course
- Perform daily golf course set-up tasks, including hole changing and tee marker placement
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems, sprinklers, valves, and other related equipment
- Assist with the application of fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides
- Maintain bunkers, including raking, edging, and leveling
- Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance on all golf course equipment
- Perform general landscaping duties, such as planting, watering, and weeding
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in golf course maintenance or related field
- Knowledge of golf course maintenance practices and equipment
- Ability to operate tractors, mowers, and other turf equipment
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and maintenance
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
