Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including prophy, scaling, root planing, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
- Take medical imaging such as X-rays, intraoral pictures and digital scans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix.
- Adhere strictly to infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene
- Proven experience with dental office management software such as Dentrix.
- Proven experience with taking dental xrays, intraoral pictures and digital scans.
- CPR Certification
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
- Experience working in general dentistry settings as a hygienist.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medical coding, documentation review, and medical records management.

Pay: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour
