Trane Technologies is hiring a Retail Materials Planning Manager in La Crosse, WI for Supply Retail Planning team. The Retail Materials Planning Manager will be responsible for forecasting and planning in all the retail locations serviced by the Aftermarket business.  This position partners with the regional leaders to make sure the customer expectations are met with regard to availability. This position is also a key enabler of lean and continuous improvement in the store locations as it relates to inventory management. Key performance indicators for this position are retail inventory turns, predicted availability rate, and inventory quality.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensures optimization of all materials management activities including forecasting, planning, inventory control, returns, and inventory balancing.
  • Measure, analyze and use root cause problem solving to track and drive key metrics such as Availability, Inventory Turns and Inventory Quality. Develop and drive countermeasures for underperforming key processes.
  • Collaborate and maintain communication with retail Trane stores to maximize effectiveness of inventory planning.
  • Provide leadership in selecting, developing and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of materials functions and Ingersoll Rand’s operating goals and objectives.
  • Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating.
  • Manage materials and inventory in a manner consistent with the requirements of a Lean Six-Sigma environment.
  • Responsible for the implementation, support and compliance, within the retail process team, of the Materials and SIOP standard work playbook processes and systems.
  • Organize activities & assigning jobs accordingly to the staff requirements.
  • Develop and implement a professional development program for materials personnel.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Minimal travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree considered.  High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years experience with sourcing, purchasing, retail operations or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of leadership experience preferred 
  • Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean/OpEx preferred
  • Knowledge of retail network operations preferred
  • Computer proficient and good data analytic and communication skills
  • Possesses or will commit to complete APICS CPIM certification within 18-24 months
  • Strong analytical tool proficiency preferred with specific capability in Alteryx and Tableau software applications
  • Advanced Excel knowledge required. Knowledge of Oracle, SalesForce, and P21 a plus

Salary: $84,000 - $120,000
Disclaimer: This base salary range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
