Tramper Technology USA, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, supplies innovative, high-quality food packaging machinery in close collaboration with our Dutch parent company and South African affiliate. We are currently seeking a driven Junior Technical Sales Representative to join our growing U.S.-based team at this new location.
Initial training will be provided locally, with the opportunity for more advanced training at our headquarters in The Netherlands. This is an on-site, full-time role based in Charlotte, with frequent travel throughout North America and occasional overseas travel.
Core Responsibilities:
- Engage with potential and existing customers – remotely, on-site, and at trade exhibitions.
- Interpret and review customer project requirements.
- Collaborate with the international sales and engineering teams to develop client-specific solutions.
- Prepare and present technical proposals and layouts to customers.
- Sell proven equipment including tray denesters, filling systems, top sealers, and lidding solutions.
- Draft order documentation and stay actively involved with project teams through delivery.
- Support the build-up of equipment for trade shows and exhibitions.
Minimum Requirements:
- A degree in mechanical, industrial, or related engineering field with an interest in customer-facing work; or a degree/background in business, sales, or communications combined with strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in machinery.
- Self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to understand and explain technical products.
- Solid computer literacy.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain passport.
- Availability to travel frequently, including overnight stays.
Preferred Additional Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with food packaging, automation, or manufacturing industries.
- Experience with CRM systems and proposal preparation.
- Proficiency in a second language.
