Position Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for assisting in the setup, operation, and monitoring of machines to produce parts according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Shift:
Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm but shift could vary based on production needs
Essential Job Duties:
- Operate machines.
- Load raw materials and ensure proper tooling is in place.
- Monitor machine operations and make minor adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
- Read and follow basic blueprints, work orders, and production instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Report equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance.
- Assist with basic machine setups and tool changes (training provided)
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Mechanical or manufacturing background preferred.
- Ability to read basic measurements (inches, millimeters).
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 30–50 lbs as needed.
