What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Dental Insurance Verification Specialist position at Tralongo Management, P?
We are looking for an experienced full -time Dental Insurance Coordinator to be responsible for working with multiple insurance companies to verify patient benefits. You should be proficient in using the dental practice management software preferably open dental to update each patient’s file for 3 dental offices and upload completed insurance forms into the patients' electronic files.
Responsibilities:
- Verifying and updating patients’ dental insurance benefits; including medical when applicable
- Obtain accurate dental benefit breakdown by provider, including patient history, accumulations and frequencies
- Uploading completed insurance verification benefit forms or manually entering when applicable
- Respond to and complete any office insurance request
- Maintaining insurance aging report
· Assist the office with same day/next day verifications when needed
· Monitoring weekly and monthly verification reports
· Verify benefits a minimum of seven days in advance in each assigned office
· Provide end of week summary to each office manager and supervisor
· Adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications:
- Computer savvy, multi-task and prioritize
- Experience in a dental office is preferred
- A positive and professional attitude
- A desire to learn and grow within the company
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Knowledge of dental procedures and insurance billing codes
