This part-time, on-site role as a Certified Peer Support Specialist is based in Troy, MI. The individual in this position will provide peer support services to individuals receiving behavioral health services. Key responsibilities include sharing lived experiences to inspire hope, fostering wellness and recovery, assisting individuals in their personal goal-setting processes, and offering guidance on navigating systems of care. Additional responsibilities involve coordinating with treatment teams, connecting individuals to community resources, and upholding the principles of trauma-informed care.
- Strong Communication and Customer Support skills for interacting effectively and empathetically with consumers, families, and treatment teams
- Proficient Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to assist individuals in accessing care resources
- Capable Analytical Skills to assess needs, identify barriers, and develop problem-solving strategies
- Proven ability to work collaboratively, adapt to diverse needs, and maintain professional boundaries
- Completion of Certified Peer Support Specialist training, or willingness to complete upon hire
- Experience in behavioral health, trauma-informed care, or recovery-based services is a plus
