Position Summary
The ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) Program Supervisor leads a multidisciplinary mental health team that provides comprehensive, community-based services to adults living with severe and persistent mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders.

This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the ACT team, coordinating services, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care. The position follows a regular Monday–Friday schedule, with participation in a shared on-call rotation with a paid stipend.

In addition to leadership responsibilities, the ACT Supervisor may provide direct clinical services, including individual therapy and facilitating group sessions—ideal for clinicians who enjoy both leadership and direct client care.

$3,000 Signing bonus, $1500 Paid upon hire and $1500 paid after successful completion of 120-day orientation period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of ACT program services
  • Maintain a primary caseload of approximately 5–10 individuals and assist with case management duties as needed
  • Facilitate daily ACT team meetings and support collaboration among interdisciplinary staff
  • Participate in a shared on-call rotation with additional stipend compensation
  • Provide direct clinical services as needed, including therapy and group facilitation
  • Ensure services are person-centered and promote safety, wellness, and natural supports
  • Oversee admissions, transfers, discharges, assessments, and individual plans of service
  • Coordinate care across services including case management, psychiatric services, nursing, and community partners
  • Promote a supportive environment that fosters acceptance, empathy, hope, and dual recovery
  • Conduct internal chart audits and program reviews to ensure compliance with program standards and regulations
  • Monitor team productivity and program outcomes and report findings to leadership
  • Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new staff
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to ACT team members
  • Serve as a liaison between program staff and agency leadership

Program Overview
The ACT Team provides intensive, community-based mental health services designed to help individuals maintain stability, reduce hospitalizations, and build independence. Services are flexible and tailored to the needs and preferences of each participant.

Education

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field

Licensure
Must hold one of the following active Michigan licenses (full or limited licensure accepted, where applicable):

  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW or LLMSW)
  • Limited License Psychologist (LLP)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

License must be active, valid, and in good standing with the State of Michigan.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in community mental health or a related behavioral health setting
