Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician — Field Operator (DD Waiver)

Training Hearts provides therapeutic consultation services for individuals supported by the Virginia Developmental Disabilities (DD) Waiver. We offer Behavioral, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy consultation, working collaboratively with individuals, caregivers, group homes, and support teams to build practical, meaningful strategies that support independence and overall quality of life. The Role
We’re seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to operate in the field alongside DD Waiver therapists. You’ll ensure individuals are seen regularly in person, complete intake and baseline tasks, collect high‑quality data, and maintain accurate documentation that supports effective care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular in-person visits in Day Support and/or home settings to ensure clients are seen on schedule.
- Complete intake paperwork and intake assessments; collect baseline data to inform treatment planning.
- Capture accurate, timely data during sessions; maintain written field notes and required documentation/forms.
- Perform fidelity and satisfaction reviews with clients/caregivers and document findings.
- Coordinate with therapists and staff to align on service schedules, goals, and follow-ups.
- Adhere to DD Waiver and agency documentation standards, privacy requirements, and timelines.
- Communicate barriers, risks, or notable client changes promptly to supervising staff.
Qualifications
- Current RBT certification or actively preparing to sit for the RBT exam (documentation of eligibility required).
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to client sites.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail for documentation and data integrity.
- Professional, compassionate communication with clients, caregivers, and clinicians.
- Comfortable working independently in field settings and using basic digital tools (e.g., data collection apps/EMR).
- Experience in a clinical or behavioral health setting preferred but not required.
Schedule
Flexible hours; you set your schedule while meeting Training Hearts’ service and documentation timelines and client needs.
Compensation and Terms
- Employee position paid at $25/hour.

- Must comply with privacy/confidentiality standards and all DBHDS requirements.
