Trailways of New York, a prominent family-owned intercity bus company established in 1926, is currently seeking skilled Automotive and entry-level Diesel Technicians to join our team at the Pine Hill/New York Trailways Fleet Maintenance Facility in Albany, NY. As a Diesel Technician Helper , you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our modern fleet of motor coaches, ensuring safe and efficient transportation services throughout New York State and beyond. Responsibilities: Assists in the maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems of motor coaches. Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines while working in a shop setting. When necessary, assists with the safety, maintenance, cleanliness and of the shop. Assists in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities. Requirements: Minimum of one year’s mechanical experience in the diesel or automotive industry. Availability for 1st shift training with flexibility for 2nd shift work including holidays and weekends. Valid NYS driver's license. Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to learning. Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
