Trailways of New York, a prominent family-owned intercity bus company established in 1926, is currently seeking skilled Diesel Mechanics to join our team at the Pine Hill/New York Trailways Fleet Maintenance Facility in Kingston, NY. As a Diesel Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our modern fleet of motor coaches, ensuring safe and efficient transportation services throughout New York State and beyond. Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repair tasks on diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems of motor coaches. Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in a shop setting. Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities. Requirements: Minimum of one year’s experience in the mechanical industry, preferably with a focus on diesel vehicles Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues and repairing diesel systems. Availability for 1st shift training with flexibility for 2nd shift work including holidays and weekends. Possess own basic tools required for the job. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical examination. Valid NYS driver's license. Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to learning. Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
