What are the responsibilities and job description for the Horticulture - Nursery Sales - Must have experience position at Trailside Nursery?
Trailside Nursery is a new and rapidly expanding wholesale nursery seeking an experienced sales person to sell trees, shrubs & perennials to landscapers and other individuals working in the green industry. Applicants must have prior experience selling plant material, a good working knowledge of horticulture and best landscape practices.
Duties:
- Selling Trees & Shrubs
- Assisting in shipping and receiving of plant material, some lifting and moving required.
- Pricing new plant material
- Checking out customers via Point-of-Sale system
- Communicating with customers about current availability via phone and email
- Inventory tracking
- Some heavy machinery operation may be required. Training is available.
Applicants should:
- Be a motivated self-starter
- Be ready to work in a team environment
- Have exceptional communication skills. You should be a people person
- Prior sales experience a must
- Have good working knowledge of plants and best management practices in the landscape
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
- Enjoy working outside in a variety of weather conditions
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Have prior nursery or landscape experience
- An education in horticulture is a plus
- Bilingual, English and Spanish is a plus
The position is full time with a yearly salary of $65,000-85,000 per year.
