Outpatient Therapist – Independent Contractor (1099)

Estimated $60–$80 per billable hour.
Trailhead Integrated Services is seeking compassionate, dependable Child and Family therapists to join our behavioral health practice in Beckley, West Virginia. Our therapists provide individualized behavioral health therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families in a supportive, client-centered environment. We are primarily focused on serving children 3 to 21 and providing family therapy. We would prefer therapists who are Registered Play Therapists or willing to work towards this goal. We will provide continuing education support. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with flexibility to develop a caseload that works for you.
What You'll Do
Provide individual, family, and/or other outpatient behavioral health therapy within your scope of practice.
Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the agency's electronic health record.
Develop individualized, client-centered treatment goals.
Maintain professional and ethical boundaries.
Coordinate with families, schools, medical providers, and other professionals when clinically appropriate and properly authorized.
Participate in required clinical consultation or supervision as applicable to your license.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid, payer, licensing, and agency requirements.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
Hold a master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or another qualifying behavioral health discipline.
Hold or be eligible for an appropriate West Virginia behavioral health professional license.
Maintain all credentials necessary to provide services within their professional scope of practice.
Successfully complete required background and credentialing requirements.
Demonstrate strong clinical, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Experience working with children and families is preferred but not required.
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Compensation is based on a percentage of collected revenue for services provided.
Estimated compensation: $60–$80 per billable hour, depending on payer reimbursement, service provided, credentialing, and collections.
Independent contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, benefits, and other obligations associated with independent contractor status.

Location Services are provided through Trailhead Integrated Services in Beckley, WV.
This is not a fully remote therapy position.
