Job Summary
Trailer World in Ozark, Alabama, is seeking a skilled and dependable Painter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying quality finishes to trailers and related products, ensuring each unit meets our high standards before delivery to customers. Responsibilities
- Prepare trailer surfaces for painting, including sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming
- Apply paint, coatings, and finishes to trailers using spray equipment and other tools
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality, coverage, and appearance meet company standards
- Mix and match paint colors as required for specific jobs
- Maintain and clean painting equipment, tools, and the work area
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of paints, solvents, and chemicals
- Report any defects, equipment issues, or supply shortages to the supervisor
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in painting, spray painting, or a related trade is preferred
- Familiarity with spray guns, airless sprayers, and other painting equipment
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
Safety Requirements
Must follow all site safety rules, including forklift certification and operational requirements, PPE standards, and state material-handling practices. Must be able to work around heavy equipment and production areas safely and stay alert in a high-traffic environment.
