Our after-school program inspires youth to make connections to the world around them through hands-on environmental activities, outdoor play and exploration, games and songs, team building, and daily reflections. We operate in elementary schools around Brooklyn, and are more than just childcare!

Group Leaders:
You will be responsible leading hands-on activities, participating in songs and games with your campers, and creating space for unstructured play. You will make sure their after school time is fun and meaningful.
- Formal childcare experience is required.
- Willingness to undergo background check requirements
- Please note: Upon hire, folks must complete all OCFS Department of Health and Department of Education background clearances, fingerprints, medical exam and TB tests.

Program dates: September 8, 2025 - June 18, 2026 (including training dates).
Hours fall between 1:30 pm - 6pm, depending on the school
Positions are Monday through Friday. Full Monday through Friday availability is required

Starting hourly pay rates for Group Leaders:
- Prior experience with camp and/or school programs: $17-$18.00, based on pay structure below.
- Trail Blazers maintains a published pay rate scale based on defined categories of prior work experience. Trail Blazers reserves the right to determine whether an Employee’s prior work experience aligns with the definitions outlined in the pay rate scale.
