About Us:
Trail Animal Hospital is an AAHA certified, veterinarian (not corporate) owned animal hospital. We treat every team member as an individual and care about you. We have 3 full time doctors supported by a collaborative and positive team. Our primary focus is general medicine and surgery for companion animals. We are open from 7am-7pm Monday - Friday and Saturday 8-1. We let you choose the schedule that works for you within those hours. Our animal hospital is unique in that we are the oldest privately owned animal hospital in Miami. Since 1954 we have only changed ownership 3 times to Veterinarians- no surprises when you work with us! We grow every year providing opportunities for team members to grow as well.
About You:
If you have experience working in an animal hospital (Veterinary Technician):
If you have learned to be a technically competent Veterinary Technician with a minimum of three years of experience in an animal hospital setting or a CVT degree, the veterinary technician position is right for you. Requires multitasking and performing well under the pressures of a veterinary hospital. We work as a team; however, this position involves more direct work with the Doctors and clients and more responsibility for patient care than the Technician Assistant position. As with any position at Trail Animal Hospital, we will support and mentor you. We believe in training and education and provide opportunity for growth within our organization. Pay is commensurate with experience.
If you do not have experience working in an animal hospital (Technician Assistant):
The Technician Assistant position will be ideal for you. This position is for someone with long term interest in the animal care field and a desire to learn and grow in the field. We will support and encourage your educational interest. This is a starting position where you will be assisting the veterinary technicians with their responsibilities. Duties include animal restraint, hospital cleanliness, walking pets, bathing and/or keeping pets clean during their stay, administering medications etc. Training will be provided, and you may grow from this position to veterinary technician. This paid position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week commitment.
