THE PRACTICE
VENTURA COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER – Ventura, CA
Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) is a 229 bed, fully-integrated, comprehensive system of hospital, clinic and specialty services. VCMC is noted for its renowned Family Medicine Residency Program and is distinguished as the only Ventura County academic teaching hospital with a residency affiliated with UCLA School of Medicine. VCMC is the designated Level II Trauma Center for the west county and is known for its extraordinary trauma team. Due to the patient population, Spanish-speaking is preferred.

Inpatient Services (Hillmont Psychiatric Center)
- 36 bed unit, increasing to 43 beds
- 7 on – 7 off schedule, with 10-hour shifts
- Physician will see approximately 15 patients per shift

- Flexible Scheduling, doctors may work up to 5 shifts in a row
- Patients are seen in the CSU, Ventura County ED, including consults in the main hospital

- Ventura County comprises the Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA Combined Statistical Area.
