Job Summary The Manufacturing Associate supports daily operations in the cannabis manufacturing facility, including tasks related to extraction, post-processing, formulation, filling, and packaging. This hands-on role is ideal for someone looking to grow within the cannabis industry, with opportunities to learn and eventually operate various types of extraction equipment. The associate is responsible for following SOPs, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring compliance with California cannabis regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day production including post-processing, formulation, and packaging of cannabis products
- Support the preparation, filling, capping, labeling, and packaging of vapes, concentrates, tinctures, and other manufactured goods
- Learn how to safely operate extraction and post-processing equipment (e.g., hydrocarbon, ethanol, vacuum ovens, rotovaps) under supervision
- Follow safety procedures for working with solvents and pressurized systems, and wear proper PPE at all times
- Assist with prep work for extraction runs, including material loading, system prep, and post-run cleanup
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools
- Complete accurate batch records, inventory logs, and compliance documentation
- Monitor and report equipment performance, environmental conditions, or safety concerns to the Extraction Tech or Manufacturing Lead
- Dispose of waste according to SOPs and state regulations
- Work as part of a team to meet production goals and maintain quality standards
Qualifications & Skills
- 1 year of experience in manufacturing, lab work, or a production environment preferred
- Willingness to learn and follow SOPs for extraction and processing tasks
- Basic understanding of cannabis products and extraction methods is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a physically active role
- Comfortable working around solvents, machinery, and in controlled lab environments
- Must be reliable, coachable, and able to work both independently and in a team setting
- Knowledge of compliance and safety standards in a cannabis facility is a plus
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Requires prolonged periods of standing and repetitive physical activity
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in environments with exposure to strong odors, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations
- Must follow all company safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE in production areas
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
