Tradition Golf Club is a special place. We are known for our golf, our beauty, history and warm and friendly members. Tradition offers an 18-hole course, 9-hole par 3 course, practice facilities, over 100 member and family events, full fitness facility, spa services, bocce ball, pickleball and many enriched programs and fun social events.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Valet position at Tradition Golf Club works closely with the outside service team to ensure that Tradition Golf Club’s mission, core values, service standards, and objectives are met. This is a highly visible position that requires a large presence with excellent communication skills. Valet staff are expected to be dedicated, to take initiative, and to be a team player. This is an evening position, with most shifts being Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 2:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Leadership – Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers
- Customer Service – Provide the highest level of customer service to Tradition members and their guests with special attention to detail. Go above and beyond to ensure that every club encounter is a memorable experience. Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
- Teamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workers
- Safety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.
- Integrity- Represent Tradition Golf Club with integrity and professionalism at all times.
- Punctuality –Be on time and ready to work your shift at your scheduled shift time.
- Personality– Greet all members by name with a warm, familiar greeting to establish rapport. Our members come here to have a fantastic time, try to make every interaction memorable.
- Bag Drop –Assist members with their golf bags from their car to our golf carts. If necessary, escort guests to their next destination (locker room, dining room, driving range, etc.)
- Work Areas –Keep work areas neat at all times. Members tend to walk by frequently, so be sure everything is in order.
- Be Forward-Looking –Prepare for the next day in advance.
- Valet –Have a legal driver’s license and be capable of parking a variety of vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or GED
- One (1) year related experience in hospitality or service industry (Required)
- Private Club experience (Preferred)
- Valet experience (Required)
Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to perform tasks outdoors in hot and cold temperatures
- Standing for long periods of time
- Excellent Communication skills (Required)
- Excellent listening and comprehension skills (required)
- Positive interpersonal skills (Required)
- Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate multiple tasks
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clear MVR
