About the Role
As a Guest Room Engineer at TradeWinds Island Resort, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and service calls for our Island Grand and RumFish properties. Your duties will include performing preventative maintenance, responding to maintenance requests, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities
* Perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms, public areas, meeting rooms, restaurants, and other areas of the resort
* Respond to maintenance requests generated by staff members and guests in a timely manner
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
* Report emergency and unusual situations immediately
* Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and resort property
* Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Requirements
* 2-3 years of related experience
* Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting skills
* Proven track record of 'do it right the first time' work ethic
* Working knowledge of resort operations (similar experience) is strongly preferred
* Ability to communicate effectively with guests and other employees
