Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeping / Laundry Aide to join our team in a locally owned and operated nursing home group serving Western Kentucky.
Our focus is on providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that supports the comfort, dignity, and well-being of each resident. This role plays a key part in maintaining high cleanliness standards within a skilled nursing and long-term care facility.
Essential Duties
- Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas in a nursing home setting
- Perform laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing
- Follow proper infection control and sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness standards in accordance with healthcare regulations
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Respond to housekeeping and laundry needs throughout the facility
- Work collaboratively with nursing and facility staff
- Contribute to a respectful, resident-centered environment
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or laundry experience preferred (not required)
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shifts
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting
