Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accountant with strong QuickBooks and reconciliation skills to manage the firm’s high-volume accounting activities to work full time from the Firm's Tempe, Arizona office. The role reports directly to the Global CFO and Audit Manager, and works closely with the CPA in Phoenix as well as senior management to ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and to assist in the firm’s business debt repayment and turnaround strategy.
This is a hands-on role focused on transaction processing, reconciliations, and financial support, with exposure to high-level financial management and restructuring.
Essential Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- 3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in a high-volume environment
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online (required)
- Strong background in bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliation analysis)
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail, especially with large transaction volumes
- Ability to collaborate with internal leadership and external CPAs
- High integrity, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality
Transaction Management & Bookkeeping
- Record and categorize 6,000 transactions annually in QuickBooks Online
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and staff reimbursements
- Process vendor invoices and client payments promptly and accurately
- Maintain updated general ledger and sub-ledgers
Reconciliations
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensure all accounts are balanced and compliant with reporting requirements
Reporting & Financial Support
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Provide transaction-level data and reconciliations to support the Global CFO, Audit Manager, and CPA in Phoenix
- Assist senior management with business debt payback planning and financial turnaround initiatives
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and liquidity analysis
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to firm policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare supporting documentation for audits and tax filings
- Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard financial data confidentiality
