Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Perform monthly ATM, cash and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor ATM cash usage for assigned Divisions, work with Brinks to adjust standing orders as needed, resolve vault cash balance differences and manage courier delivery issues.
- Primary responsibility for CRM new supplier and change approvals.
- Match/enter mill weights to settle shipments. Review accounts receivable and follow up on missing mill weights and payments.
- Apply cash to open AR.
- Work with Nucor Business Technology team directly to resolve Brokerage and Metals Group interface issues.
- Primary responsibility for handling Helpdesk support tickets assigned to the group.
- Work with Division personnel to address issues with: Security/access, shipment reversals, payment & ticket voids, freight issues.
- Work directly with transaction accounting software support to resolve issues that cannot be corrected internally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- 3-5 years of accounting or other equivalent experience
- Bookkeeping/bank reconciliation/AR experience preferred
- Desire and aptitude for promotion, including relocation
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI
- CPA and/or Advanced Business degree
- Manufacturing or Public Accounting experience
