What are the responsibilities and job description for the Journeyman Electrician position at Tradeco of Chicago?
Tradeco Construction is hiring!
We are seeking (2) experienced Electricians with strong commercial and industrial experience for projects throughout the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs.
You are:
- Experienced working in both commercial and manufacturing environments
- Skilled in bending pipe, including EMT, MC, and rigid conduit
- Proficient in electrical installations, upgrades, and panel installation/termination
- Experienced in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy-duty electrical systems in manufacturing facilities
- Knowledgeable in ensuring all installations and repairs comply with local and national electrical and building safety codes
- Able to read blueprints and schematics and efficiently lay out projects
- Experienced in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, including running diagnostic tests on circuits, motors, and high-voltage systems to identify and repair faults
- Skilled with lighting retrofits, recessed lighting, outlet installation, and fixture installation
- Safety-focused and able to work at a strong construction pace
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
