What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic / Shop Foreman position at Trade Winds Transit?
Trade Winds Transit is a family-owned trucking company located in Bardstown, KY that has been in business for 40 years. We run 70 Freightliner Cascadia trucks and 400 trailers. Our team of mechanics and technicians operate out of 4 service bays with 2 in-ground pits and a newly refurbished office and break room.
Candidate will work alongside a 40 year experienced diesel mechanic and has ability to advance to management or shop foreman quickly.
Competitive pay based on experience. Bonus and overtime pay also available.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Rebuild engines
- Order parts and maintain inventory
- Knowledge of Detroit diesel engines, software, and technical diagnostics
- 5 years experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
