Overview:
The Pipefitter is responsible for the layout, assembly and fabrication of piping systems in accordance with client specifications, isometric drawings, and applicable standards. This role ensures accurate fit-up of pipe, fittings, and supports to support quality production and overall project success.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark pipe to prepare for cutting to required dimensions
- Read and interpret isometric and orthographic drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout and assembly requirements
- Assemble and secure pipe, fittings, and related equipment according to client specifications
- Verify materials and components meet job specifications and report discrepancies
- Work collaboratively with welders, supervisors and QC personnel to meet production schedules and quality expectations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform additional duties within the fabrication division as assigned
- Comply with all Company Core Safety Rules, policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of pipefitting experience in a fabrication shop environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld procedures and technical documents
- Ability to work extended hours, including 10-hour shifts and overtime as required
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods
- Physically capable of bending, kneeling, and squatting throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., unassisted
