Tool Room Attendant

We have an opportunity as a Tool Room Attendant in our Service Department at our Billings, MT branch.

Hourly Wage up to: $24.86 per hour based on skills & experience

About The Position

• Responsible for checking out all tools as requested and insuring they are returned and stored properly.
• Inspections are regularly made and repairs are completed as needed on a timely basis.
• Insure that adequate inventory of supplies are maintained.
• Tool calibrations are scheduled and maintain/repair as needed along with refill tool kits as per specific engine models as needed.
• The tool room along with other areas of concern kept neat and organized with all tools and supplies being accessible as needed under Caterpillar Contamination Control Guidelines.
• Tool room invoices are coded and processed in a timely fashion orders to process through the service desk for approvals.
• Other responsibilities include bulk oil and shop supplies inventory.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience Needed

• Previous diesel, warehouse, or tool room experience preferred.
• Proficient computer and data entry experience is required.
• Strong organization skills and the ability to work in fast pace, deadline orientated work environment.
• Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute to a team environment.
• The work environment is a typical work environment with hardware and software skills, and use of equipment necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times. This is a physically demanding job that requires standing, walking and for an 8 hour day.
• Our customers are often under time constraints so the ability to handle working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment is essential to be successful.
