Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate components
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
welding techniques to join metals according to specifications - Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and sheet metal equipment to shape and assemble parts
- Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks
- Follow all safety protocols in accordance with ASME codes & standards while maintaining a clean and organized work area
Requirements
- Proven experience with hands-on fabrication and welding tasks
- Proficiency in MIG welding processes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with schematics, basic math skills for measurements and calculations, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Experience working with sheet metal, ductwork fabrication, or similar manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; crane experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
