Responsibilities

• Act as the primary on-site supervisor for roadway maintenance and construction projects, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate daily activities with crew members, contractors, and other stakeholders to meet project timelines and safety standards.
• Conduct thorough safety briefings, enforce safety protocols, and monitor ongoing work to prevent accidents or hazards.
• Oversee the proper use of equipment, including understanding mechanical aspects and ensuring compliance with operational procedures.
• Verify that all work complies with federal and state regulations, including those related to air brake systems and other safety features.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, project managers, and safety personnel to report progress or issues promptly.
• Ensure all team members are trained in relevant safety procedures and possess necessary certifications before commencing work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in railway maintenance or construction environments, with a strong understanding of roadway operations.
• Knowledge of air brake systems and mechanical principles relevant to railway equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced setting.
