SUMMARY  

The Plant Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This position is pivotal in driving the plant’s productivity, maintaining quality standards, facilitating timely maintenance, and managing staff to achieve organizational objectives. The Plant Manager’s strategic oversight helps align plant operations with broader corporate goals, thus supporting the organization’s overall success. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Responsible for all aspects of production to ensure alignment with business objectives and goals 

• Analyze workflow, labor and equipment to maximize efficiency, allocating resources as appropriate 

• Develop and maintain the Manufacturing expense budget and related expenditures  

• Regularly review and adapt staffing plans by partnering with production planning teams and HR    

• Directly manage projects to increase production, asset capacity and improve quality while minimizing unnecessary costs.   

• Actively participates in daily GEMBA walks with supervisors through all operating cells.  

• Directs Manufacturing Engineering to achieve product and process improvements, capital appropriation requests, machinery selection and installation. 

• Responsible for the Safety, 5S/Lean Programs, ensures adherence to Company policies, and maintains the BMS processes for manufacturing operations. 

• Maintains positive teammate culture and consistent adherence to company policies  

• Provides regular and formal performance reviews for all direct reports.   

• Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Engineering, or related fields. 

• Master's degree in Business Administration or Industrial Management is preferred. 

• 5 years experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity within a plant or manufacturing environment. Metal forming/bending industry preferred 

• Experience overseeing both LEAN and safety programs highly preferred 

• Professional certifications related to plant management, production management, or LEAN manufacturing highly preferred

• Extraordinarily strong communication and collaboration skills required 

• Strong mindset of safety and quality first while remaining committed to team environment 

• Prior experience in culture development, acquisition environment a plus
