What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Specialist position at Trace Systems Inc.?
The Purchasing Specialist will track purchase requests, quote materials, obtain funding approvals, and procure materials across the program.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, maintaining all required purchasing documentation.
- Process purchase requests (PRs) in Cost Point, ensuring accuracy, compliance with quality flow downs, and maintaining all required purchasing documentation.
- Managing requests for vendor quotes and supporting internal teams throughout the procurement process.
- Generating weekly and ad hoc procurement reports for customers and management.
- Assisting with invoice reconciliation, supplier performance and vendor evaluations.
- Ensuring all purchases have the required supporting documentation adhering to ISO standards.
- Evaluating and processing request for quotes.
- Proactively monitor and manage outstanding procurement actions to ensure timely completion.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications
- An Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance (Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable).
- Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
- Able to travel to support mission up to 10%.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, OR an Associate’s degree plus seven (7) total years of recent specialized experience, OR eleven (11) years of recent specialized experience.
