Trace Behavior Support is a children’s mental health agency that has served youth with special needs and their families since 1997. We provide several services, including:
- One-to-one Behavior Specialists* *
- Implementation of individualized education and behavior plans* *
- Seasonal special needs camps*
- Child and family psychotherapy*
Joining Trace Behavior Support
We are looking for staff for the upcoming school year! Trace Behavior Support employment can prepare you for your future career or graduate school, strengthen your resume, and create a foundation for professional advancement. You will gain experience working 1:1 with a variety of children living with diagnoses such as conduct disorder, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and autism. Duties include managing the behaviors of the child, implementing the behavior plans, recording client data daily, and other duties as required. All Behavior Specialists receive paid training to prepare them for working in the field. We also provide:
- Ongoing video training*
- Weekly job coaching**
- Full-time Behavior Specialists also receive a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and non-cashable paid time off**
Preferred:
- Received or pursuing a degree in Psychology, Social Work, Child/Family Development, Mental Health/Family Counseling, Education, or a related field*
- Experience working with vulnerable or mentally ill populations and/or working in a residential treatment facility or group home* *
- Teaching experience ***
Minimum qualifications:
- A high school diploma*
- Reliable personal vehicle* *
- Able and willing to drive throughout King and Snohomish County* *
- Valid driver’s license & auto insurance* *
- Clean criminal history**
- CPR certification*
Location:
Our office and summer camp is located in West Seattle; however, we serve children and families throughout King and Snohomish County. Must be willing to commute from your home to a school location.

Starting Salary:
Your hourly compensation is based on your classification:
- BS1: $30.00/hour
- BS2: $32.50/hour
- BS3: $35.00/hour
*Opportunities for wage increase throughout the year.
*New staff train with a cohort of peers or individually.
** $500 bonus for new staff who complete the school year
*This is an hourly position that includes overtime eligibility. The salary listed is an estimated yearly income based on working 40 hours per week.
