Job description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Machine Operator to join our production team. The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring slitter machines and other production equipment to ensure materials are cut and processed to precise specifications. This role is essential in supporting manufacturing operations and ensuring high-quality production output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor slitter machines to cut large rolls of plastic into smaller rolls according to specifications
- Adjust machine settings such as blade positions and speeds based on production requirements
- Inspect materials for quality issues such as uneven cuts, tears, or other defects
- Load raw material rolls onto machines and unload finished rolls for storage or shipment
- Maintain accurate production records and report any machine issues or downtime
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including blade changes and basic troubleshooting
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Perform other production duties as assigned by supervisors
