Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical components, automated controls (AB, Mitsubishi, Fanuc), CNCs, and robotics (Fanuc).
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC programming when required.
- Ability to read and comprehend blue-line drawings, schematics, and sketches
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 3 years of maintenance supervisory experience
- Associate’s degree from college or technical school
- Experience in iron foundry and casting processes
- Experience with high voltage electricity of 12,470V/10,000KVA
- Experience utilizing advanced tools and methods for continuous improvement, such as Total Quality Management (TQM) and Lean Manufacturing

Expected Hours of Work:
A standard work week will be Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week minimum. As an exempt salaried employee, weekly overtime may be required to complete the assigned job responsibilities. The responsibilities of this position may also include work to be performed on weekends, holidays, or after normal business hours.
Work Environment:
This position performs work in both an office and manufacturing environment.
When work is performed in the office environment there is limited exposure to personal hazards. The noise level in the office environment is well below the threshold limits. The use of PPE is not required when performing tasks in the office setting.
When performing work in the manufacturing environment, the employee may be exposed to vapors, fumes, foundry dust, and/or other airborne particles. At times the employee may also be exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and high noise levels. Required PPE may include: safety glasses, steel-toe shoes/boots, ear plugs, hard hat, and flame retardant (FR) clothing.

Position Summary:
Supervise maintenance staff in the installation and maintenance of electrical and/or mechanical equipment and machinery, ensuring production interruptions and downtime are minimized. This includes planning, managing, directing, and coordinating maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment and the facility.
Essential Functions:
- Plan and schedule work of maintenance technicians and leads; ensure proper distribution of assignments; monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching; prepare and submit performance documentation; issue disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Review timekeeping information for hourly maintenance employees; communicate with the HR Department regarding payroll and attendance of hourly maintenance employees.
- Assist with planning and executing the preventative, predictive, and condition-based maintenance of production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including, but not limited to, programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages, and test equipment.
- Provide timely solutions to production problems related to equipment, processes, tooling and facilities (ex: CNC, iron furnace, auto casting system, dust collection system, cooling water system, robotic handler and conveyor system, and high voltage room).
- Identify opportunities, participate in, or is directly responsible for electrical reliability improvement projects from design to the construction phase.
- Assist in the establishment of preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems and facilities.
- Oversee, coordinate, and review the work of external contractors to ensure projects are installed in accordance with TFT standards and specifications, local, state and federal codes, and OSHA/UL.
- Install, start up, and shut down all equipment in accordance with TFT’s safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain TFT required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
- Manage maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) supplies.
- Maintain a structured spare parts inventory program and establish adequate stocking levels necessary to support manufacturing equipment and PM schedules.
- Prepare and review plans and specifications for the procurement, construction, and installation of electrical equipment.
- Contribute to Total Productivity Management (TPM) activities and organizing of maintenance parts or equipment.
- Maintain facility reliability metrics; monitor and track events; identify and develop reliability improvement opportunities metering water, air, gas, and electricity.
- Responsible for performing a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of the TFT facility/premises.
- Conduct and participate in root-cause analysis meetings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees perform work in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with regulatory and company policies; ensure adherence to company and OSHA safety regulations; conduct plant inspections; complete incident reports for work related injuries and near miss issues.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
